Licence to Operate a Tower Crane CPCCLTC4001

This nationally recognised unit provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely operate a tower crane. Tower cranes are essential for lifting and moving heavy loads on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. The course covers planning, setup, lifting techniques, communication, and shutdown procedures in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations. Successful completion leads to eligibility for a High Risk Work Licence (Class CT) issued by your state or territory regulator.

Learning Objectives

  • Statement of Attainment for CPCCLTC4001 – Licence to Operate a Tower Crane.
  • Eligibility to apply for a High Risk Work Licence (Class CT) through the relevant WHS authority.

Prerequisites

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Basic English literacy and numeracy skills.
