
This nationally recognised course provides the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a slewing mobile crane with a Maximum Rated Capacity (MRC) of up to 20 tonnes in accordance with applicable work health and safety and legislative requirements.
Commonly referred to as the C2 Crane Licence, this course covers the planning, preparation and operation of a slewing mobile crane in accordance with applicable work health and safety and legislative requirements.
Participants will learn how to plan lifting operations, prepare and position the crane, safely move and place loads, and complete post-operational procedures.
During this course, participants will learn how to:
• Plan and prepare for lifting operations
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and safety checks
• Set up and position a slewing mobile crane
• Assess workplace hazards and implement control measures
• Lift, move and place loads safely
• Communicate effectively during crane operations
• Apply work health and safety requirements
• Complete shutdown, inspection and post-operational procedures
This course is suitable for individuals working in construction, civil construction, infrastructure, logistics, mining and related industries who are required to operate a slewing mobile crane with a capacity of up to 20 tonnes or obtain a C2 High Risk Work Licence.
Participants will complete both theoretical and practical assessment activities, including planning and undertaking lifting operations, conducting inspections and demonstrating safe crane operation.
Successful participants will be issued with a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0022 – Licence to Operate a Slewing Mobile Crane (Up to 20 Tonnes).
Please note: Competence in this unit alone does not result in the issue of a High Risk Work Licence. Licensing requirements are administered by the relevant state or territory regulator.

Note : After completing any High-Risk Work Licence course, the worker is then required to submit their Notice of Assessment to WorkSafe with a passport photo and their High-Risk Work Application form including their Statement of Attainment within 60 days. If you require Australian Safety and Training Solutions to do this on your behalf, then the cost will be $120 plus GST which will include their passport photo per person.
