This nationally recognised course provides the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a slewing mobile crane with a Maximum Rated Capacity (MRC) of up to 100 tonnes.
Commonly referred to as the C1 Crane Licence, this course covers the planning, preparation and operation of a slewing mobile crane in accordance with applicable work health and safety and legislative requirements.
Participants will learn how to plan lifting operations, prepare and position the crane, safely move and place loads, and complete post-operational procedures.
During this course, participants will learn how to:
• Plan and prepare for lifting operations
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and safety checks
• Set up and position a slewing mobile crane
• Assess workplace hazards and implement control measures
• Lift, move and place loads safely
• Communicate effectively during crane operations
• Apply work health and safety requirements
• Complete shutdown, inspection and post-operational procedures
This course is suitable for individuals working in construction, civil construction, infrastructure, logistics, mining and related industries who are required to operate a slewing mobile crane with a capacity of up to 100 tonnes or obtain a C1 High Risk Work Licence.
Participants will complete both theoretical and practical assessment activities, including planning and undertaking lifting operations, conducting inspections and demonstrating safe crane operation.
Participants who meet the assessment and enrolment requirements will receive a Statement of Attainment from Halo Nation Training Pty Ltd (RTO 32485) for Licence to Operate a Slewing Mobile Crane (Up to 100 Tonnes) TLILIC0021.
A Statement of Attainment is not a high risk work licence. Licensing requires a separate application to WorkSafe and satisfaction of the regulator’s requirements. Attendance or payment does not guarantee a competent result or a licence.

Prices shown are per participant for Perth company group bookings. Minimum group charges apply even if fewer people attend. If a trainer flies to site, the maximum class size is charged. Your written quote will confirm the total, applicable GST, administration, travel and any requested VOC or additional assessment costs. Full payment is due at least five business days before training, or on confirmation for shorter-notice bookings.
For high risk work licence courses, successful assessment does not itself issue a licence. Participants must meet WorkSafe WA’s requirements and lodge their application within the required period, generally within 60 days of the Notice of Assessment. Optional ASTS application assistance is $120 plus GST per participant, including a passport photograph. Your quote will confirm what this service includes and any separate regulator application fee.
Training and assessment: ASTS delivers nationally recognised training on behalf of Halo Nation Training Pty Ltd (RTO 32485), which is responsible for issuing Statements of Attainment. VOC services are separate from nationally recognised training.
